Our client has enjoyed year on year growth and consistent global success and due to further expansion, is urgently seeking a personable, creative thinking and proactive IT Administrator / Support Technician to be based out of their Bristol office.
Candidates must have a Full UK Drivers Licence and their own transport
Overview
Reporting to the Head of IT, you will provide hardware and software support to site based staff and remote office users across multiple sites (some overseas), monitor the performance of all IT systems, maintain the IT infrastructure, upgrade software and hardware as required and ensure that all company data is backed up and reported.
The successful candidate will have sole responsibility within the role – This is a rare and progressive opportunity for a 1-2nd Line Support Technician or mid-level Systems Administrator to join a stable, passionate and hardworking global organisation.
The role will offer progression management and personal development with the ability to recruit your own team / support personnel. This role is vital for the company’s current and future growth plans.
Your daily remit will involve
· Troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues
· Maintaining a log of all support provided and reports
· Installing new hardware/software
· Providing Telephone/remote support
· Prioritising workloads
· Excellent communication skills
· Implementing / improving new and existing processes
· Desktop support and system monitoring
Experience & Requirements
Up to 2nd line support – servers & networks
Improve performance and resource utilisation
Disaster recovery and data backups
Strong knowledge of Office 365 and Barracuda email accounts
Troubleshoot desktop and laptop issues
Infrastructure Improvements
Document processes and reporting
Be proactive with the goal of preventing issues and downtime
Prioritise tasks and tickets
Barracuda email security
Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2
Ideally Degree educated.
Highly Desirable
Cisco IOS, CompTIA A+\N+\S+ and/or CCNA certifications, pfSense firewall, Veeam back up and replication, Hyper-V and VMware, IP telephone experience.

The salary will be dependent on experience and relevancy to the position. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate wanting to take on further responsibility and progress their career from a 1st / 2nd or potentially 3rd line support and systems admin position.
