National Account Manager – Private Healthcare Digital Software Solutions

Our client is is the UK’s leading provider of electronic and paper document distribution services to the NHS, Local Government and a wide range of Commercial organisations. We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to be responsible for nurturing and growing existing private Healthcare Clients across the UK in addition to having a good understanding of the NHS digital agenda. 

Home or office Based – Open to location – Ideally South West

08:30 – 17:30 Monday to Friday

Overview:

The role of the Public Sector National Account Manager is to manage a set of assigned national accounts and take responsibility for our relationship with partners where we are delivering collaborative propositions. This is a national role and will attract a sales quota and bonus. Key deliverables are:

Managing collaboration, including long term relationships

Acting as the conduit on sales opportunities that require collaboration

Market/sector analysis to look at opportunity for collaboration with new organisations, including ROI & Payback period of initial investment

Managing national private healthcare accounts

Growing private healthcare accounts

Maintenance and retention of assigned accounts

Client relationship

Customer satisfaction

Acting as the primary point of contact for the assigned accounts

Taking ownership of customer issues

Excellent customer service

Candidate Criteria:

Proven account management and sales skills with an emphasis on account growth and retention with at least 5 years’ experience of selling into and managing healthcare customers. Probably from a technology background and with an understanding of document management and the digital agenda. Although primarily a ‘farmer’ this person will be capable of new business skills.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development for Public Sector the NAM will be responsible for the following:

Developing a plan to achieve target in their assigned account base to include:

Where opportunities will be identified

Developing account plans where appropriate

Working with our clients support functions to ensure any client requirements are met

Maintaining and retaining the national accounts through excellent client management and customer service skills

Managing any new opportunity within the account

Managing our partner base to ensure opportunities are fully understood and developed

Supporting the sales and account management teams on opportunities where we are partnering

Providing sector and market analysis to determine the viability of bringing on new partners

Providing sector intelligence for new recruits, particularly in the digital agenda

Required Experience:

Minimum 5 years solution sales into the healthcare sector

Knowledge of government procurement regulations and practices

Understanding of the NHS digital agenda

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Excellent presentational and negotiation skills

Technically savvy

Proven ability to open new business
