John Ross Associates are working with national manufacturer who work with composite metals and materials to create precision engineered products and materials for the automotive, aerospace, industrial and energy sectors.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Engineer ideally from a manufacturing / additive manufacturing or composite materials background to work for a market leading, innovative company in the South West. 

The ideal candidate will have strong engineering knowledge and experience in dealing with engineers alike. 

Required Experience:

• Experience with aerospace, motorsport, energy, automotive sectors beneficial

• Excellent written and oral communication

• Ability to develop customer relations and close sales 

• Experience in selling complex engineering consultancy services 

• Team player but able to work independently with minimal direct leadership 

• Willing to be on the road visiting customers and developing relationship

Role Overview:

• Develop and maintain good customer relationship for the future growth of the company

• Analyse potential and existing markets in order to identify business opportunities

• Establish customer base relations and its management database

• Carry out market research in order to develop strategies and roadmaps for sales of the company’s products and to secure more business relations

• Provide support to marketing team, in the area of developing strategies for company’s product promotions

• Assist the Head of Business Development in resourcing, budgeting, and problem-solving activities of the company

• Develop campaigns and other activities that will help in increasing the recognition of the company

• Regularly provide updates on the market competition analysis and knowledge to the 

Salary & Application 

Our client will offer a basic salary up to £50,000 per annum – flexible for outstanding applicants in addition to phone, laptop and expenses. You will need to have a full UK licence and transport.
